The Bandit Run
The annual charity road rally that re-enacts the Texarkana-to-Atlanta run from Smokey and the Bandit — roughly 650 miles of Trans Ams, black-and-gold, and back roads. All vehicles welcome.
Founded in 2007 by Dave Hall of Restore a Muscle Car and David Hershey for the thirtieth anniversary of the 1977 film, The Bandit Run gets classic cars out of the garage and onto the road — a multi-day, non-competitive, family-oriented charity rally tracing the spirit of the original Texarkana, TX to Atlanta, GA route. The route changes every year, so each running is its own story: new roads, new stops, the same black-and-gold heartbeat. Trans Am-centric by tradition, open to everyone by design.
