Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account & identity — your email address and name, provided through our authentication partner (Auth0) when you sign in. We use these to create and secure your account and to contact you about your membership.
• Profile — the handle, display name, location, and bio you choose during onboarding. Your handle and profile are public.
• Your garage — the cars you document (year, make, model, specs, description, photos) and their visibility setting. Cars set to public are visible to anyone; cars set to private or club-only are restricted.
• VINs — if you verify a car, the full VIN is stored encrypted and is never shown publicly. Public pages show only a masked VIN; fuller detail is revealed only to the tiers you allow (for example, an active buyer).
• Activity — reactions, follows, watchlist entries, club and show participation, and messages you send, used to operate the community features you engage with.
• Consent records — the fact and time that you accepted these policies, kept for compliance.
• Usage & device data — basic analytics and error diagnostics to keep the site working and improve it.

How we use it

To provide the service (your garage, communities, registries, clubs, shows, marketplace, and messaging), to keep it safe (screening uploaded media, moderation, and fraud prevention), to communicate with you about your account, and to improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that run ChatMyRide, under contract and only as needed:

• Auth0 — authentication and identity.
• Supabase — our database, with row-level security isolating your data.
• Stripe — subscription billing (we never see your full card number).
• Cloudflare R2 / AWS S3 — storage for the photos and media you upload.
• Content-moderation providers — automated screening of uploaded images and text before they appear publicly.
• Analytics & error monitoring — to measure and fix the product.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our members and the public.

Your rights

You can access a copy of your data, correct it, export it in a machine-readable format, or request deletion of your account and personal data. Public content you posted may persist in others' interactions, but your personal profile and private data will be removed. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account we remove or anonymize your personal data, except records we must retain (such as consent and billing history).
