The criteria run automatically

Every published criteria set is a checklist, not a contest. Match it and the car is in - the moment the specs, the owner's Car State and Factory-Correct answers, and a document on file line up. Legend status rides on a paid membership: a car on the free Stock tier is never inducted, and a Legend is withdrawn if its owner drops back to Stock.

Key Item Match follows the paperwork

One key item is read from your paperwork today: the VIN. A Legend reads Single Key Item Match once an uploaded document has had its VIN matched to the car - automatically, or by a reviewer. Until that happens it reads Key Item Match pending. Multiple Key Item Match is the level for paperwork confirming more than one key item; no document earns it automatically yet.

The Judge as most were ordered: the 366 hp Ram Air III. Numbers-matching, PHS-documented examples anchor the Judge registry. Collectors have long argued over whether Pontiac used the Ram Air III name officially; the engine behind it is real and well documented, and this criteria set treats the name as settled.

The engine that started it all: the 389 with three deuces, the original GTO weapon before GM banned multi-carb induction for 1967. Numbers-matching, documentation on file. Widened 2026-09-09 beyond the GTO and beyond the 389: Pontiac sold Tri-Power across the line, so any 1961-1966 Pontiac carrying a numbers-matching, documented Tri-Power engine is in scope here - Bonneville as much as GTO, 421 as much as 389.
