Legends are not voted in - they are matched. When a documented car on a paid membership meets a published criteria set, it becomes a Legend automatically. No nominations, no judges, no pay-to-play.

Show allLegend status is matched automatically from the owner's stated specs and the documents on file. It is not an authentication, appraisal, or guarantee - before buying, selling, or insuring on the strength of it, get independent expert validation (PHS, Galen Govier, a Marti Report, or a qualified appraiser, as fits the marque).
How a car becomes a Legend
What you put on the car page is the only input: its specs and provenance fields, a document on file and an approved photo.
Every published criteria set is a checklist, not a contest. Match it and the car is in - the moment the specs, the owner's Car State and Factory-Correct answers, a document on file and an approved photo of the car line up. A Factory / Dealer Special Build qualifies only for a Legend that is itself a special build. Legend status rides on a paid membership: a car on the free Stock tier is never inducted, and a Legend is withdrawn if its owner drops back to Stock or removes the car's last approved photo.
One key item is read from your paperwork today: the VIN. A Legend reads Single Key Item Match once an uploaded document has had its VIN matched to the car - automatically, or by a reviewer. Until that happens it reads Key Item Match pending. Multiple Key Item Match is the level for paperwork confirming more than one key item; no document earns it automatically yet.
